Don't let go of your dream.

It starts with a good idea. Slowly, it grows into something bigger. More customers, more products, more countries – but never forget why and with what you ever started. That first idea, that first spark of inspiration, is like a compass that gives you direction. It helps you maintain control when faced with difficult decisions. Even when your business grows and changes, that original passion or vision remains your anchor.
For me, it started with a dream to make and sell stickers. Gradually, I added postcards and posters, and now also bags and washi tape. Who knows what the future will bring. But I keep telling myself that I must not forget my stickers. My vision of seeing others use my own creations must not be lost sight of.
Those stickers were my start, my first love in this entrepreneurship. They represent not only a product but also my original creativity and passion. By staying true to my stickers, I also stay true to myself and my original vision, and it keeps the growth enjoyable.
It can happen that during the growth of your company, you lose your passion and no longer feel connected to your business. Because you only think about the future. Then you only look at numbers, at growth opportunities. It is important to sometimes take a moment to pause and reflect on that initial phase of your company. Where did it all begin and, more importantly: why did I start? Did you start to make posters, sell stuffed animals, or print coloring books? That original motivation is often the key to maintaining your passion and authenticity, even as your business grows and evolves. By regularly returning to the initial phase, you keep that original passion alive.
Of course, it can happen that during your entrepreneurial journey, you discover something you had never done before, but suddenly find much more enjoyable and interesting than your original activities. This is a very natural process of growth and development. In that case, there will usually still be an overlapping element or a common thread to be found between your first passion and your new interest. This common theme or principle can then serve as your new original idea, without you having to completely let go of your first inspiration.
